so very thankful for a saturday at home with nowhere to go, no place to be.
cleaned most of our apartment. visited some with my brother-in-law micah. baked chocolate-chip cookies for Justin using a yummy new recipe. wore the ruffled apron i recently won from a super creative blog. took photos of our flowers in bloom. encouraged justin in his paper-writing. sipped an iced mocha made with my french press. read a chapter in the book “respectable sins” that my women’s small group is currently discussing together. reflected on our gracious Savior. enjoyed the sunshine.

There are some things that seem to bring an extra smile to my face when I walk into a room. It might be based on cheerful colors, usefulness or sentimental reasons. I thought it would be fun to highlight these little things, that are added blessings to my already bountiful life. Not only has the Lord saved me by His grace, but He has given me so much more to be thankful for; whether big or small.
In our kitchen, the little things that bring a smile to my face are: brightly colored mocha bowls, the blender that Justin got me for my last birthday (I’m definitely a smoothie fan), and a jar I found on clearance at Pier 1 last year. It makes a great chocolate chip cookie “house.”
May I make the most of each moment, and continually thank my Savior– even for the little things.

St. Patrick’s day menu:
Shepherd’s pie and grasshopper parfaits

Our first time making Ratatouille served over rice;
not quite like how it looked in the movie– but it was yummy!
