Summer is in the air. Flip flops, smoothies, days at the beach, corn on the cob– I’m ready to embrace this new season!
Since our shop is now up and running, it’s with great excitment that we’re hosting our first giveaway. Included, you will find a whimsical ‘blue swirl’ glass tile pendant strung on a 16″ sterling silver box chain. This necklace is light and bright & makes a great addition to your breezy summer day. To add to that, a simple white handpainted frame provides an endearing way to display your favorite memories of fun in the sun.
There are two ways to win:
1- Visit Rebecca’s Shop by clicking the ’shop’ link on the top of our blog. Then, after taking a look around, leave a comment here describing what you like best and why. I’m always looking for creative ideas and inspiration!
2- After you leave a comment, please feel free to post a link to this giveaway & Rebecca’s shop so that others can take part. If you do, leave a second comment with the link to your blog post. Not only does this double your chances, it gives me the opportunity to visit your blog too :)
The winner will be announced on May 23rd. Have fun!

so very thankful for a saturday at home with nowhere to go, no place to be.
cleaned most of our apartment. visited some with my brother-in-law micah. baked chocolate-chip cookies for Justin using a yummy new recipe. wore the ruffled apron i recently won from a super creative blog. took photos of our flowers in bloom. encouraged justin in his paper-writing. sipped an iced mocha made with my french press. read a chapter in the book “respectable sins” that my women’s small group is currently discussing together. reflected on our gracious Savior. enjoyed the sunshine.

I’m always excited about trying new and different crafts. Many day-to-day things inspire me such as Scripture, nature, colors, textures, friends, street signs, the way glass captures light, and photos. The things I make generally have a story and a source of inspiration from those little moments.
Recently I discovered a site called “Etsy” that provides an easy and fun way for people to sell their handmade goods on-line, so I thought I’d give it a try.
Justin is great with computers and has patiently helped me improve our blog and set up the shop. My sweet sister Emily has graciously assisted with everything from providing ideas for different products to applying endless amounts of mod podge. I’m so thankful for them both!
Hope you enjoy!

My sister Emily has dubbed me the “coupon nerd” and often offers to make me a t-shirt that says “I heart coupons.” We have fun joking about it and she is a good sport to accompany me on many shopping excursions. I’ve definitely have had some adventures with coupons and dismay/suspision from checkers at how much money they often end up saving me.
For example, everything in this picture cost $4.71 at Target after coupons and a gift card that I got back for purchasing the Quaker products. While it’s not my intent to document all of my savings and blog about everything from snack foods to cleaning supplies, I did want to give at least one shout out for coupons. They really do work :)

Psalm 63:3 Because your lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
The flowers are beautiful right now. The weather is warm. The sun is shining. The wind wisps through the trees. Thank you Father for the world around me that you created for my enjoyment, and ultimately to bring You glory as it reflects your greatness and amazing creativity.
